Join a small and dynamic team of scientists dedicated to unlocking the secrets of highly degraded and damaged DNA, and help researchers get the best Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data possible from their worst samples. Claret Bioscience is seeking a talented Research Associate to aid in the production and quality control of our SRSLY NGS library preparation line of products and associated reagents.
This role is accountable for helping to produce and test quality NGS reagents. This position is a “hands-on” in person role with physical wet lab responsibilities. The role reports directly to the Production Lab Manager and works intimately with the production and most sales personal.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work in the production team to help create a viable weekly/monthly build plan and ensure the schedule is maintained.
Create reagents, label, and packages tubes. Ensure an ample product inventory is kept in stock and build logs are documented in all appropriate locations.
Work with vendors to order and maintain raw reagent inventory.
Perform and document current QCs and SOPs and troubleshoot when issues arise.
Be an effective communicator of ideas, project goals and results.
Required Skills:
Experience with wet lab biology, chemistry, or any other similar lab work
Experience with pipetting
Ability to work in person full time in Scotts Valley, CA
Speak, read, write and understand business English
Desired Skills:
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or higher in Biology or similar field.
Hands on experience with NGS or Molecular Biology.
Experience with any facet of production
